My first experiences in receiving communications from pets occurred when I was working in emergency medicine. As I would read the brief history before meeting the pet, I would get an idea of a diagnosis in my head. Often, the history wouldn't really support the diagnosis, but testing would later confirm it was accurate.

When I decided to limit my veterinary practice to just end-of-life care, I began to know things about pets that I'd have no way to know. It was happening far too often to just be coincidence, so I started researching what was happening and wanting to learn how to make a reliable connection with the pets I encountered.

I found Dr. Cara Gubbins, a leading expert in animal communications, who developed a two-year course to teach communications. After completing her course and working with over 100 pets in communication sessions, I've developed the ability to be much more consistent in making and maintaining the connection with an animal.
